As expected, Golf Digest Singapore did publish the article by David Owen about AimPoint. Hope you had the chance to have a read. In the same issue, there was also an article that talks about Edel fitting system. A good overview if you are not familiar with Edel fitting. In the same article, local clubfitter Eric Ng, also contributed on his ZEN putters. Good stuffs.

We have finally managed to summarise the ball fitting project. The results and feedback did not surprise us but we had hope for better feedback responds. For those who responded, other than a better fit with the balls, we would also like to send our Thank You by way of fitting a Shaft Skinz for you. Just bring along a club and our fitters will get it done for you.

Please note that the centre will be closed from 9 Nov to 14 Nov 2010 as we are providing Trackman and SAM PuttLab analysis in the upcoming BMW World that is taking place in Marina Bay Sands. Other than the free analysis, there will be three compeitions (longest drive, closest to pin and putting compeitions) throughout the event. Winners stand to win very good prizes like top of the range Edel variable loft custom fitted putter worth $1500 and $1000 KZG vouchers. The event is open to public, so why not pop by and have a go at the games or simply to say hello. We will appreciate that :) Check it out here.

		15 meter more 7m – 10m more 5 meters more abt 10 m The recommended ball feels heavy on impact and I have difficulty launching it. Distance suffers as a result of slower swing speed; average 150m off the tee and 5m – 7m short on approach.

	The recommended ball Top Flite Gamer V2 ( based on 50-50 for 1w,5w,6I & PW; performance ball category) does indeed gives me more distance and accuracy with the help of less sidespin when compared with my current ball (Bridgestone e6/e5). Based on my last score, the recommended ball had reduced 7 strokes off my game at MBGC. Thank you Khee Wei for fitting me! I would be “upgrading” to Srixon AD-333 and eventually its family line. Have gained a better understanding of ball fitting, and thus more enjoyment of the game too. Thank you! I could not get hold of TM Burner Ball, so I decided to purchase the TM Burner TP ball. The TM Burner TP ball seems to be harder during tee-off and give me approx. 10m of extra distance. However, the green side control is not so impressive. I seem to have the ball rolling a lot more than my bridgestone e6. I’m starting to experiment with Titleist NXT tour and will provide the feedback to you once I try it. Many thanks for the ball fitting service. It was done very professionally and im impressed with Khee Wei’s knowledge on ball fitting. Interesting analysis Better feel on short game. Driving dispersion improved. When i first got the results, i was kinda disappointed because those favourite balls are not in the list. Callaway and Srixon come out tops on the list. At first i was quite reserved about trying those out especially Srixon, till i found a packet of each at batam. And i must say, my game definitely improved alot! Srixon offers a spin rate that i can manage. My drives and long shots ends with a slight fade which is totally manageable. Callaway on the other hand offers really straight shots and long too. And definitely stands out in greenside control. I am now giving away my Nikes and stocking up on Callaways and Srixons.

Edel and AimPoint

It is finally here,the long awaited AimPoint Golf iPhone App. Or more precise, almost here, since it is only available in US and Europe for now, but Mark Sweeney promised that it will be available for Singapore in the next minor release due soon.

The standard AimPoint Chart provides great information but the details included in the App is far more extensive. I will include a sharing of the App once I got hold of one myself. But other instructors in the US are saying nothing but good.
